Holly Anderson, E-RYT Meditating at a studio meeting.

Hello! My name is Holly Anderson, and I'm here to share my passions and expertise around yoga, myofascial release, and achieving total mind and body health and wellness through accessible and easy-to-maintain practices!

Over a decade ago, I embarked on a journey back to the mat when I began experiencing health issues that significantly impacted my daily life. Frustrated with the lack of support from healthcare professionals, I took matters into my own hands and became my own investigator and advocate.

Dealing with daily pain and fatigue, I rediscovered yoga after years of no regular practice. During my first yin class, I experienced a profound shift in both physical and mental tension that had accumulated in my body. It was a transformative experience that changed my life for the better, igniting my passion for this practice and its ability to support me.

After moving to Olympia, I found my yoga family amongst the kindest souls at True Self Yoga, where their incredible support encouraged me to embark on my true yoga journey and deepen my practice within and beyond the physical.

Along this path, I began to tap into my own empowerment and embodiment, inspiring me to connect with a new network of healthcare providers who finally diagnosed me with Hashimoto's Thyroiditis in late 2017. Now, my journey focuses on finding the delicate balance of effort and effortlessness.

I completed my RYT-200 in 2017 at True Self and have been teaching various styles of yoga, including yin, vinyasa/flow, fusion, and restorative. In 2019, I became a Wellround Certified Myofascial Release instructor and completed Trauma-Informed Yoga certification through Yoga Behind Bars.
Since then, I have co-hosted several local and international retreats. Many with my dear friend Andre Harris, whom I will join again for his upcoming Misfits Yoga retreat in La Paz, Mexico.

As of January 2023, I have achieved my E-RYT requirements, becoming a Yoga Alliance Continuing Education Provider and a Wellround Senior Instructor. My dedication to continued education and study has led me to become a teacher of teachers, and I'm thrilled to share my knowledge with you!

I love engaging in conversations about balanced approaches to health and well-being and learning about each person's unique life experience. I aim to build lasting relationships with my students, fellow yogis, and health warriors. Don't hesitate to contact me anytime, whether you have questions or want to chat!

Let's embark on this transformative journey together!
